28th May’ 2017, was world menstrual hygiene day. Even though in this fast developing world we are heading towards modernization every minute, but still there are many corners in India, where people have strong belief on superstitions. They prefer to go to Bhuva’s & Baba’s rather than doctors. As per the Survey conducted, 88% out of 497 million Indian women use unhygienic products such as old fabric, sand, wooden shavings, dry leaves etc. In order to spread awareness for same, Yuva conducted awareness campaign in 7 different rural areas in Ahmedabad & Gandhinagar district.Initially the ladies were shy to open up about their issues, but at the end of sessions, they became friends with Yuvaites & were more confident and proud to be a women. #Periods #NotaTaboo #HappytoBleed #Purity #SuperWomen.
